Jami Kolonski is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC). She joined Marks and Associates in 2017. She feels therapy works best when clients come first and believes in creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic atmosphere. Jami meets the clients where they are in life and works with them to create a collaborative treatment approach. Jami is a registered Yoga instructor and uses yoga, mindfulness, and meditation techniques when it is useful for treatment and welcomed by the client.

Jami has over ten years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families and specializes in depression, anxiety, Autism Spectrum issues, grief, and substance use. She has worked in a variety of settings: including therapeutic day school, private practice, and inpatient behavioral health units.

Jami graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2003 and earned her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has certified training through the Grief Recovery Method and is a member of Yoga Alliance.
