Dave Marks is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and founded Marks & Associates in 2000. Dave specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and phobias, depression, trauma, grief/loss, relationship concerns, and related issues.  Dave works with individual adults and couples, and offers group therapy.  Dave also has extensive experience with management consultation and training.

Dave joined the Chicago Blackhawks organization in 2016 as the team's Mental Skills Coach focusing on sports performance and player development. Prior to starting his private practice, Dave worked with an employee assistance program (EAP) for a local Fortune 500 company where he provided brief therapy, training, management consultation and research services.  Dave has specialty training in exposure and response prevention to treat anxiety, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR Level II) to treat trauma and other disorders.  Dave is currently active with the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), and is on an immediate response medical team that is dispatched during crises resulting from natural and manmade disasters.

Dave earned his Masters of Psychology from Finch University Health Sciences/ Chicago Medical School in 1996, and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in Houston, TX.
